Benefits of goatsmilk, shea, aloe & other natural soaps
June 8th, 2009
Have you ever noticed when using a commercially produced soap that your skin feels tight and sometimes itchy?
There are a couple of reasons for this. One main factor is glycerin. Glycerin is good for your skin but when commercial soap is processed, the companies extract all the naturally produced glycerin out of it. Why? Why would they do this if glycerin is good? Simply put…those big manufacturers can make a ton of money putting that glycerin into ’special beauty bars’ and pricey (very pricey) lotions, creams and ‘beauty’ products!
At Aventine Hill we don’t take the natural glycerin OUT…in fact…we not only leave it in, but more glycerin is added! We want you to not only clean your skin, but also nourish and moisturize it!
When the natural glycerins are removed, you are left with the other ingredients in the soap. Harsh things for your skin such as low grade oils, parabens* and alcohol. Of course you’re going to itch!
If you suffer from psoriasis, eczema or other skin irritations, you might want to try soaps made from goatsmilk, aloe, shea butter or oatmeal. All rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients to gently soothe your skin. of what you put on your skin is actually absorbed into your skin!
You owe it to your body to take care of your skin in the same way you take care of any other organ.
Goatsmilk, for example, is highly rich in Vitamins A, B,C, D and has high amounts of protein, fat and iron. It also has the same ph as human skin which helps to protect our skin from bacteria we come into contact with. Alpha hydroxy acid in goatsmilk will help smooth the skin by exfoliation and are well known for softening and rejuvenating the skin.
Shea butter is another natural product rich in Vitamins A, E (essential for good balance in the skin) & F (acts as a skin protector and revitalizer). Providing a soothing effect on skin irritations, Shea penetrates into the skin and also helps with skin elasticity. It doesn’t clog pores, leave a residue or feel greasy.
Along with shea butter and goatmilk, aloe and oatmeal have been known for their soothing, calming and relaxing abilities for thousands of years.
